I'VE GOT A QUESTION FOR YOU...
When did everything become a wine event?
We didn’t always believe we needed alcohol to have fun (or to relax, or to cope.)
Let's challenge what you’ve been told, so you can reset your relationship with alcohol.
Let's get you un-stuck from a habit that's no longer serving you.
Let's REWIND back to who you were before the world told you needed booze to survive it.
Let me know if this sounds familiar...
▸ Drinking is fun.
▸ Wine helps me relax.
▸ I can’t socialize without it.
▸ Alcohol helps me be myself.
▸ I am not addicted because I can take breaks.
▸ Alcohol is only addictive in some people.
▸ I'm not an alcoholic so I can't have “a problem.”
▸ But it sure feels like I do.
IF THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT
You know things need to change...
you're sick of making promises to yourself you don't keep
you're tired of feeling exhausted, anxious and hopeless
you're fed up with alcohol running
Remember when you didn't drink much?
It used to be once or twice a week, or maybe every other day. But now you're jonesing for that glass every night. And 5 pm can't come soon enough.
You take breaks. You only drink on weekends. You do cleanses and Dry January. You white-knuckle it and tell yourself things will be different when you are done, but a few months later you find yourself back where you were, or worse. You tell yourself that “nothing bad has happened” so you can’t have a "problem". You look around and see everyone else drinking as much or more than you and assume that you must just be doing it wrong.
I hear you. I’ve been there. It’s so easy to pour that drink at the end of a long day! We’ve been told for years that we need “mommy juice” to unwind and cope, and all the funny memes and jokes on social media encourage us to continue drinking our evenings away. Life is busy, demanding, and chaotic: and alcohol is our numbing reward at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, alcohol just delays and magnifies the feelings we want to numb. Booze is a short-term, temporary bandaid but the challenges of real life aren't going anywhere.
Even though it seems perfectly acceptable to drink every day, the reality is: alcohol is addictive, in all humans, and eventually, your habit will become a dependency.
It’s not IF, it’s WHEN.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY
Imagine how it would feel to...
Give yourself the gift of a mindful, no-strings, no-pain, coach-led break from alcohol. Sleep better, feel better, and ditch the shame & guilt.
Disrupt more than just your physical habits this time and actually shift your underlying beliefs about what alcohol is doing for you.
Make alcohol so small and irrelevant in your life that you can take it or leave it. Put yourself back in the driver's seat so alcohol is no longer running the show.
You deserve freedom from alcohol, and I'm going to help you get there.
An 8-week mindful break from alcohol that acts as a circuit-breaker by disrupting your physical and mental habits so you can make alcohol small and irrelevant again.
The results speak for themselves...

This combination of elements was powerful in providing a truly immersive experience that was both supportive and motivating."

"I have loved the daily videos. I watched them before I got out of bed in the morning and it set a good tone for the day. I also appreciated the non- judgemental coaching and sharing of their own experiences. The group chat was also helpful."

MEET YOUR TOUR GUIDE
Hey there, I'm Emily and I've been exactly where you are right now.
For years I tried to drink less by making rules like "I'll only drink on weekends" or "I'll only have one glass" only to break them and beat myself up for "failing".
I became sober in 2017 and started diving into WHY I drank. I followed a program. I had a sponsor. But it wasn't until I was two years sober that I finally felt freedom.
When I finally stepped into curiosity and self-compassion, everything changed. By challenging my own beliefs about alcohol, and learning all I could about this addictive substance and my relationship to it, I took back control by making it small and irrelevant.
I dove into every book and resource I could find. I took courses. I became certified in Addiction Awareness, Peer Recover, and/or Certified Professional Recovery Coaching from 4 (yes FOUR) different programs. I immersed myself in everything related to Alcohol addiction and this course is the result. It is geared specifically to moms (future, current, former - moms come in many forms!) and it's designed for women ANYWHERE on the alcohol use spectrum.
It's been seven years of freedom for me and I haven't looked back. I love my life without alcohol, and I love coaching other women to the same freedom.
Let me show you how!
Good, and it doesn't matter why you are.
...are tired of waking up hungover
...began drinking more during the pandemic
...want a break from booze with other people who get it
...have a general feeling of unwellness
...are keeping your options open
...have been making rules around your drinking & breaking them
...have been googling, “am I an alcoholic?” or “do I drink too much?”
...are worried about the example you’re setting for your kids
All that matters is that you know something needs to change.
You CAN do this, and REWIND can help you get there.

Frequently Asked Questions
I NEED TO DETOX, IS THIS GROUP FOR ME?"If you are in need of medical detox or are experiencing medical withdrawal, you must speak to your doctor or call 911.
DO I HAVE TO SPEAK OR SHOW MY FACE IN MEETUPS?Never! Sharing is always optional, as is showing your face.
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE THE MEETUPS LIVE?Due to privacy, we are not recording virtual meetups. We have a variety of times available, but please contact us if there is a time that would be ideal for you! We have general sobriety support meetings each day, as well as affinity meetings. We will be adding more meeting times as the demand for them increases. The community and other resources will always be accessible 24/7
WHAT IF I DON'T IDENTIFY AS SOBER OR AM JUST SOBER CURIOUS?We would love to have you. We all started our journey somewhere! We are all like minded in the sense that alcohol and substances are not required accessories to motherhood! However, we do not “teach” moderation, our ultimate message is that alcohol free life is a better life.
WHAT IF I'VE BEEN TRYING TO QUIT DRINKING FOR YEARS, AM NOT SURE IF I WANT TO STOP FOREVER, AM STILL DRINKING/USING, OR HAVE A SLIP OR "RELAPSE"?"Even more reason for you to need a community of moms who understand. You cannot share during meetings while actively under the influence, however, and we will not teach members how to moderate alcohol. Rather, we will show you how to live a life that makes alcohol small and irrelevant. Wherever you are on your journey toward the ultimate goal of alcohol free life, you are welcome here.
ARE THE MEETUPS RECOVERY MEETINGS?Our virtual meetups are not AA, or NA or SMART recovery or any other organized program. The focus of our meetups is connection, female empowerment, and joyful motherhood. This is a group of moms trudging through motherhood together, and desiring an alcohol free life through it all. We welcome people from all recovery modalities, practices, religions, colors, shapes, and sizes! We are open, and inclusive. If you are a mom (or mom to be) navigating the sober or sober-curious lifestyle, we are here for you.
WHAT ABOUT OTHER SUBSTANCES/DRUGS?We have moms in recovery from many different types of substances, you are welcome here! We also do not take a personal stance on drug use, just as we do not take a personal stance on alcohol use, but we do not allow conversation in our meetings or community encouraging others to use substances, or to promote your use of them. Our meetings are focused on living alcohol free.
TALK TO ME ABOUT PRIVACY!Though only members have access, we can't guarantee your privacy if you chose to show your face and use your name. If you are concerned, keep your video off and don't use your real name.
WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?You can cancel your membership anytime, but there are no refunds. Contact us if you need help cancelling. You can read the Terms and Conditions here.
WHY IS THIS A PAID SERVICE?All recovery organizations require money to flow through them to operate, we are no different! The platform and human resources that go into making Sober Mom Squad run are not free. We are also a financial supporter of the SHE RECOVERS Foundation Conferences (Miami and Chicago). In addition, we believe in paying women for the work they are trained for. Because we charge a membership fee, we can offer scholarships to anyone with financial need. Contact us for more info. We will always offer our free resources like our Wednesday meeting (sign up here!)
I CAN'T AFFORD THIS, OR KNOW SOMEONE ELSE WHO CAN'T, DO YOU HAVE SCHOLARSHIPS?"Yes! We offer scholarships! Contact us!
